Roads Closed and Difficult to Pass in Armenia, Some Areas with Black Ice

The Emergency Situations Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in Armenia.

The road from the high-altitude weather station "Amberd" in Aragatsotn province to Kary Lake is closed. The roads leading to the villages of Bavra, Lanjik, and Jajur in Shirak province are difficult to pass.

There is black ice on the roads in the Tigranashen bends, the areas known as Gorayk-Harjis, Tatev-Ltsen, Goris-'Zanger' in Syunik province, and in the roads of Aragatsotn province.

Regarding Lars, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Service and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to use winter tires only.
