"Are We Discussing Whether a Specific Area of Our Homeland Is Azerbaijani on This Map?" Says Iranologist
Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan writes on his Facebook page: "Have you noticed how dangerously our public discourse, even in fragments, has changed? For example, we are almost collectively discussing whether a specific area of our homeland is Azerbaijani on this map or not, while the barbaric ruling regime in artificial Azerbaijan questions not only the historical existence of Armenia but also its modern legitimacy in general.
I have said many times and continue to assert: it is the barbaric regime of Baku that holds no historical or modern legitimate rights in this region, as it exerts de facto control over a territory that has never been called Azerbaijan, and concepts like 'Azerbaijani mosque' or 'Azerbaijani medieval literature' do not exist. Even the official name of the language is artificial and literally translates to 'Azerbaijani language' and so on. Therefore, there can be not even the slightest doubt that Artsakh, Tigranashen, or any other indigenous Armenian land is, supposedly, not ours," wrote the Iranologist.
