This is an Interesting Precedent that We Have Achieved: Garibashvili
The peace initiative of Georgia has yielded concrete results between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This was stated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
The Prime Minister noted that the Georgian government maintains close friendly relations with regional partners Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey. “We are certainly interested in establishing long-term peace and stability in the region. Georgia plays an important role in achieving this goal. Some time ago, the Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia were in Georgia, and we had a unique opportunity to hold a trilateral meeting. I believe this is an interesting precedent that we have achieved,” said Garibashvili.
Garibashvili recalled that there have been intense visits between neighboring countries: “I have been to Azerbaijan several times, the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia have been to Georgia. We continue our high-level strategic partnership and cooperation with Turkey.”
