Azerbaijan expert Garnik Davtyan has presented an initial overview of Azerbaijan's upcoming snap presidential elections as of December 18 on his Telegram channel.

• 1. The following parties will participate in the elections: 'New Azerbaijan' (the ruling party), 'Great Organization', 'Great Azerbaijan', the All-Azerbaijani National Democratic Front, and the National Front.
• 2. The following parties will not participate: 'Musavat', 'National Independence', and the National Popular Front. The reasons cited include repression and unfair elections.
• 3. The following parties will support Ilham Aliyev: 'Hope', 'Law and Justice', 'Motherland', and 'Unity'.
