The founder of SpaceX and American billionaire Elon Musk has admitted that humanity is the only conscious form of life in our region of the Milky Way. He made this statement during a public event in Rome, as reported by RIA Novosti.

Musk referenced the Italian physicist Enrico Fermi, who was interested in the existence of extraterrestrials and their potential locations. According to the billionaire, consciousness is a "very rare thing" in the universe. "I haven’t seen evidence of extraterrestrial life; perhaps in this part of the galaxy, we are the only beings that possess consciousness," he said.
