Video: Water Patrols Discover Non-Stamp Duty Beverages
On December 12, water patrol officers from the Gegharkunik region stopped a vehicle of the "Hundai" brand near one of the recreational areas for inspection. During the check, the officers noticed bags of beverages in the vehicle that lacked excise duty stamps.
It was also revealed that the car was wanted by the Road Police. The 29-year-old driver from Vardenis presented several more bags of beverages without excise stamps from the truck to the law enforcement authorities.
He stated that he acquired the beverages from an unknown person in the capital with the intention of selling them in his store in Vardenis. The vehicle, along with the beverages, was moved to the secured area of the Sevan police department.
Investigations are ongoing.
