VIDEO: Krasnodar Airport Accepts Civilian Aircraft for First Time Since Russian-Ukrainian War Began

For the first time since the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Krasnodar airport today received a civilian aircraft. According to Interfax, a plane from Azimuth Airlines performed a technical flight in anticipation of the airport's reopening.

Krasnodar airport had been closed since February 24, 2022. Since the start of the war, civilian air traffic in southern Russia was halted, with only the airports in Sochi, Stavropol, Volgograd, and Mineralnye Vody remaining operational.

A new international terminal is set to open at the airport soon, with the first flights to Turkey, Armenia, and Uzbekistan planned.
