The ruling "New Azerbaijan" party has nominated Ilham Aliyev as a candidate for the presidency. This decision was announced during an expanded session of the National Assembly Collegium held today.

It is noteworthy that early presidential elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled to take place on February 7, 2024.
