Turkish Foreign Minister: Armenian Diaspora 'Exploits' the Armenian People and Certain Countries

“A historical opportunity has been created for peace in the region,” stated Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. Among the topics discussed were issues related to the South Caucasus.

“Currently, this opportunity has significantly increased. All parties must strive for peace and stability. Unfortunately, the Armenian diaspora in the West 'exploits' the Armenian people and provides 'support' against Azerbaijan. Instead of doing that, it would be better for the Armenian people to spend their energy on establishing normal relations with their neighbors,” the Turkish foreign minister remarked.
