Tense Situation on Sisian-Ltsen Highway Section

Today, December 14, an emergency situation has arisen in the Syunik region. For over 2 hours, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, along with patrol officers and rescuers from the Sisian rescue team, have been working in emergency mode on the Sisian-Ltsen highway section.

According to Shamshyan, more than 100 heavy trucks and over 50 passenger vehicles have accumulated, and thanks to the correct and efficient work of the patrol officers and rescuers, the safe passage of drivers is being ensured.

The road is partially icy, and for the sake of driver safety, patrol officers are allowing trucks to move one by one; otherwise, a traffic jam could form within minutes and stretch several kilometers.

Currently, work by the patrol and rescue service personnel continues.
