“Don’t Fidget Too Much, So That the Other Prisoners Can Return” - MP from the ruling party
The current government continues its efforts to return other prisoners. Necessary actions are underway, and negotiations are ongoing to bring back the remaining individuals. This was stated today in an interview with MediaHub by Gagik Melikyan, an MP from the Civil Contract faction.
“There was a mutual statement, right? So those people are also negotiating at the Government level,” the MP said in response to the media's question about who is specifically negotiating.
When asked how many Armenian prisoners are being held in Azerbaijan, he replied that he was unaware. Regarding the question of whether it was appropriate to return an Azerbaijani serviceman, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing a person in Armenia, Melikyan responded: “Right now you are fidgeting, whether it was appropriate or not. We have brought 32 people back and given 2 in exchange. Let those people stay in peace. Don’t fidget too much, so that the other prisoners can return.”
