Snow, Fog: Situation on Roads in Armenia

The situation on the roads in Armenia is currently challenging due to weather conditions. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there is a closed road in the country.

The road from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Kar lake in the Aragatsotn region is closed. In the Vardenyats Pass, there are areas with black ice, making the road difficult to navigate.

Snowfall has been reported in the Vardenyats Pass, particularly in the areas known as "Meghrukh Sar" and "Zanger," as well as in the Dilijan turns and the town of Jermuk.

Meanwhile, fog is present in the Abovyan region and in the town of Goris. According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for cargo vehicles.
