Weightlifter Garik Karapetyan Becomes Bronze Medalist at Qatar Grand Prix

Armenian weightlifters continue their performances at the Qatar Grand Prix. On the competitive day, the 102 kg male category took to the stage. Armenian representative Garik Karapetyan successfully lifted 172 kg and 180 kg in the snatch event with two successful attempts. In the clean and jerk, he subsequently lifted 200 kg and 211 kg. With a total lift of 391 kg, Karapetyan secured third place.

The winner in this category was Qatar's Fares Elbakh, who recorded a total of 400 kg.

Following Karapetyan, other members of the Armenian team, including Tatev Hakobyan, Hripsime Khurshudyan, Varazdat Lalayan, and Simon Martirosyan, are set to compete next.
