Displaced Persons from Artsakh to Be Served at Yerevan Passport Units on Saturdays
In the coming weeks, the passport units of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Yerevan will serve individuals forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
“Despite the fact that the population of Nagorno-Karabakh has been served on an emergency basis at Yerevan's passport services since the very first day of their displacement, without the need for electronic queue registration, there have still been crowded situations and difficulties in managing live queues. To properly organize the registration and documentation process for individuals forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and temporarily under protection in the Republic of Armenia, and to meet the existing demand within a short timeframe, the Yerevan territorial passport units of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will operate on the upcoming Saturdays—December 16 and 23, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM,” the statement said.
