US President Joe Biden made a political 'gamble' on Ukraine and lost, as the Russian army controls the situation on the front, according to Polish publication Do Rzeczy.

It notes that Ukraine has been unable to regain its lost territories, while Russia ‘has not weakened significantly.’

“Putin feels great, and he was welcomed with great honors in Saudi Arabia. All of this is a heavy blow to Joe Biden, who has made a very large political wager not only on Ukraine but specifically on Vladimir Zelensky,” the article states.

The publication also mentions that Republicans, who hold a majority in the US Senate, are unwilling to assist the current president with maintaining Ukraine just one year before the elections. Therefore, it mentions that the only resolution to the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv is negotiations.
