Weightlifter David Hovhannisyan Takes Second Place at Qatar Grand Prix

Armenian weightlifters continue to compete at the Qatar Grand Prix. On the latest competition day, the men's category up to 96 kg took center stage.

Armenia's representative, David Hovhannisyan, successfully lifted 160, 165, and 170 kg in the snatch event. In the clean and jerk segment, he managed only one successful lift at 200 kg. With a combined score of 370 kg, Hovhannisyan secured the second place at the Grand Prix.

Following him, other members of the Armenian team, including Garik Karapetyan, Samvel Gasparyan, Tatev Hakobyan, Hripsime Khurshudyan, Varazdat Lalayan, and Simon Martirosyan, will also compete.
