Video: Taxi Drivers Organize Protests in France

Taxi drivers in France organized protests due to a new law regarding the social security budget. The drivers blocked the entrances to cities such as Marseille, Toulouse, Lille, Lyon, and several others.

The bill aims to reduce budget expenditures by "encouraging shared travel." Last year, this measure saved 34 million euros; however, in rural areas, certain taxi companies receive most of their income from patient transport and have dedicated customer bases. Therefore, they fear losing revenue.
