Fans Banned from Greek Stadiums for Two Months

The Greek government has decided to ban fans from football stadiums for two months. The reason for this measure is the illegal actions of fans and clashes with the police, reports Reuters.

“For years, fans who appear as criminals have committed offenses that have injured and killed people. Neither athletes nor fans should suffer from criminal organizations. That is why all matches of the Greek Super League will be held without fans until February 12,” said Greek government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis.

During these two months, all clubs must install cameras and electronic identification systems in stadiums.
