Turkish and U.S. Representatives Discuss Armenia-Azerbaijan Relations

The meeting between Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken focused on the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

During the discussions, Turkey's Foreign Minister stated that sustainable peace in the South Caucasus can only be achieved through a comprehensive and permanent peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. “Turkey supports a ‘peace agreement’ between the two countries and is doing everything possible to make it a reality,” he stated.

Hakan Fidan added that, in Turkey's opinion, the resolution of the region's issues should align with the interests of the countries in the region.
