Video: Water Flows Through Metro Tunnels in Kyiv
A pressure drop in the subway tunnels of Kyiv has resulted in water flowing through the tunnels. Approximately six metro stations on the Obolonsko-Teremkovskaya line have been closed for about six months due to this issue. This timeline has been set for the renovation of the tunnels.
The Kyiv City Council reported that landslides have occurred in the tunnels due to water accumulation. The tunnels between the closed stations were constructed between 2008 and 2010, while the Teremki station is the newest addition to the Kyiv metro system, having opened in 2013.
