Will an Iranian Trade Center Open in Armenia?

During his visit to Tehran, Deputy Minister of Economy Narek Teryan met with Mehdi Jeyghami, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade of Iran and Director of the Trade Development Organization of Iran. Armenian Ambassador to Iran Arsen Avagyan and Commercial Attaché Vardan Kostanyan were also present, according to the ministry's press service.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of developing bilateral trade and economic relations and discussed ways to increase trade volumes to reach up to $3 billion.

Among the topics discussed were the establishment of a trade center for Iranian goods in Armenia. As part of the visit, Narek Teryan also met with Alireza Asgari, Deputy Minister for Economic and Social Affairs of Iran's Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, to discuss issues related to establishing joint production and the progress of previously agreed arrangements.
