VIDEO: What Steps Are Being Taken Regarding the Issues of the 7th Grade History Textbook?
What steps and actions will follow the professional conclusions of over 20 significant scientists, stating that the 7th grade history textbook has complex issues and does not meet the requirements for school implementation? During the question-and-answer session in the National Assembly, MP Lilith Galstyan from the 'Armenia' faction posed this question to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.
Zhanna Andreasyan informed that a meeting has been organized at the ministry with the authors of new textbooks, and feedback has been discussed. 'Based on those feedbacks, necessary revisions will be made both technically and content-wise, which will be available in electronic format from the second semester. As for the paper versions, at this moment, we will go through the process of inserts to correct the noted errors and issues, and then we will discuss the reprint issues at the time of reprinting,' she said.
According to Andreasyan, they are attentive to professional discussions, and next week there will be a meeting with representatives of the professional community who have expressed their observations.
