There Seems to be Mutual Understanding: Grigoryan on the Border Demarcation Process
There seems to be a mutual understanding that the delimitation process with Azerbaijan will be conducted exclusively based on legally significant documents. This was announced by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan during a session of the National Assembly.
“We will be working with maps that are not just images or schematic representations, but real topographic maps. For example, the 1975 map consists of professionally drafted and published fragments from 1974-79, made up of 22 pieces,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Mher Grigoryan also noted that both sides have a uniform understanding of the delimitation process and the method of work. “This time, we have agreed with the Azerbaijani side to establish a protocol that will describe the institutional process of our work,” Grigoryan stated.
