EU Warns of High Risk of Terrorism During Christmas Holidays

The European Union’s Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ilva Johansson, believes that Europe may face a heightened risk of terrorist attacks during the Christmas holidays due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, as reported by Interfax citing the Associated Press.

"There is a significant risk of terrorist attacks related to the upcoming holiday season," the agency quoted Johansson as saying. According to her, the European Commission will also allocate an additional €30 million to strengthen security in vulnerable areas of EU member states.
