Russia Hopes Aliyev Will Attend Unofficial CIS Summit, Lavrov Says

In Moscow, during the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Caspian five countries, a private conversation took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

At the meeting, the Russian Foreign Minister expressed hope that Ilham Aliyev would participate in the unofficial CIS summit to be held in St. Petersburg. Lavrov also noted that discussions would take place regarding the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
