Munich Airport Cleans As Much Snow in Three Days as it Typically Does All Winter

German Munich Airport services have removed as much snow in recent days as they usually do over the course of an entire winter. This was reported by Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR), citing a representative from the airport.

It was previously announced that Munich Airport reopened after being closed due to snowfall, but today, nearly 560 out of 880 flights scheduled have been canceled.

The airport's round-the-clock winter services have already cleared 1.6 million cubic meters of snow, which corresponds to the typical volume for an average winter, the publication states.

Today, rail services in southern Germany are gradually resuming, but many trains are still being canceled or delayed. Emergency services are also addressing disruptions caused by downed power lines. Several localities remain inaccessible due to the snow.
