The Maximum Prize Money for the Winner of Euro 2024 Revealed
The maximum prize money that a national team can receive for winning the 2024 European Championship is €28.25 million, according to the official UEFA website.
The total prize pool for Euro 2024 will amount to €331 million, the same as for Euro 2020. Each team participating in the tournament will receive €9.25 million, with €1 million awarded for a match win and €500,000 for a draw.
A team reaching the playoffs will receive around €1.5 million, €2.5 million for advancing to the quarter-finals, and €4 million for a semi-final berth. The runner-up will receive an additional €5 million, while the tournament winner will get €8 million.
It is worth noting that the final stage of Euro 2024 will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The matches of the tournament will take place across 10 stadiums in 10 cities.
The current champion of the European Championship is the Italian national team, which defeated England at Wembley Stadium in the Euro 2020 final. The fate of that final was decided by a penalty shootout.
