The Number of Billionaires Worldwide Has Increased by 7%

The number of billionaires worldwide has increased by 7% from 2022 to 2023, growing from 2,376 to 2,542, while their wealth has risen by 9%, from $11 trillion to $12 trillion. This information is detailed in a report titled Billionaire Ambitions, published on the website of Swiss bank UBS.

"Globally, billionaire wealth has partially recovered during 2022/2023 after a nearly 20% decline over the previous 12 months. Overall, the number of billionaires around the world has increased by 7% in the past year, from 2,376 to 2,542, and their wealth has increased by 9%, from $11 trillion to $12 trillion," the document states.
