Brawl in City Center Involving 20 Participants
On November 27, at 14:00, the Central Police Department received a report from a hospital that a 21-year-old man was being transported to emergency medical care due to a neck wound. He stated that the injury was sustained as a result of falling on Teryan Street.
At 14:10, the same hospital reported that a 16-year-old teenager had sought medical assistance for a puncture wound to the thigh.
Thanks to joint efforts by the Central Police Department and the Marash Division, it was established that around 13:20 on November 27, the 21-year-old, accompanied by 8 friends, met the 16-year-old and his 9 friends in the park on Teryan Street to clarify certain issues. A dispute erupted during which the 21-year-old struck the 16-year-old with a sharp object, after which the teenager's friends retaliated by hitting the 21-year-old and his friends with stones. The exchange of blows was accompanied by insults, reflecting blatant disrespect towards society.
As a result of subsequent measures, the 21-year-old was found on Abovyan Street, arrested on reasonable suspicion of hooliganism and inflicting bodily harm, and was transferred to the Central Police Department. The documents were forwarded to the investigative body.
