‘Well, I also say we should produce’ – Kherobyan responds to journalist

Remaining in the EAEU does not prevent Armenia from trading with countries of the European Union and carrying out exports. This was stated by Armenia’s Minister of Economy Vahan Kherobyan in a briefing with reporters.

“Staying in the EAEU has absolutely no connection. If you look at other EAEU countries, you will see. For example, Kazakhstan trades equally with Russia and China,” Kherobyan noted.

According to the minister, Armenia can export many products to EU countries and is already doing so.

One of the journalists pointed out that Armenia does not produce goods that meet European Union standards; how can it export?

“Why can’t it produce? Well, I also say we should produce,” Kherobyan retorted, declining to answer further questions.

Kherobyan also spoke about the situation at Lars. “I do not see a political problem regarding Lars,” he mentioned.
