Hamas Announces Readiness to Extend Ceasefire

Hamas is prepared to extend the ceasefire for another four days under the same conditions. This was reported by the BBC, citing an AFP source.

An anonymous source close to Hamas stated that the movement is "agreeing to extend the ceasefire for four days" under identical terms.

It is worth recalling that the conditions included the daily release of at least 10 Israeli hostages in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails, humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip, and the suspension of Israeli flights (including drones) over the Gaza Strip. This arrangement is currently in its sixth day, having already been extended once by two days.

The formal agreement expires today, but intense negotiations are ongoing in Qatar among the intelligence chiefs of Israel, the United States, and Egypt to extend the ceasefire for several more days.
