Ukraine's Defense Ministry Confirms Poisoning of Budanov's Wife

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has confirmed that the wife of military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov has been poisoned. This was reported by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, to journalists from the Ukrainian service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. He did not disclose further details about the incident.

Recall that earlier sources from the Babel publication reported that doctors diagnosed heavy metal poisoning in the wife of Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR). Sources from Babel asserted that “these substances are not used in everyday life or military operations.”

“Their presence may indicate a deliberate attempt to poison a specific individual,” the sources stated.
