Tractors Stolen and Sold to a Metal Reception Point for 900,000 Drams
On November 26, the operational management center of the RA Police received a report about the theft of tractors from a defunct quarry in the administrative area of Agarak community. An operational group from the Ashtarak division of the RA Police and a patrol service unit were dispatched to the location.
It was established that between 19:00 on November 25 and 18:15 on November 26, two broken tractors had been stolen from the site. A criminal case has been initiated at the Aragatsotn Regional Investigation Department.
After conducting operational-investigative measures, the detectives of the Ashtarak division identified that the theft was carried out by three men aged 25, 24, and 41, involving a 41-year-old man from Nor Kharberd with a Mercedes tow truck-manipulator and a 24-year-old man from Yerevan with a Camry vehicle.
On November 27, they were arrested and taken to the Ashtarak police station, where the young men from Yerevan confessed that around 17:00 on November 26, they had stolen two broken tractors from the quarry site and later sold them for 900,000 drams at a metal reception point on Central Street in Argavand community.
The Mercedes tow truck-manipulator and the Camry vehicle have been moved to a secure area of the Ashtarak police division. The necessary documents have been prepared, and the three men have been presented to the Aragatsotn Regional Investigation Department. An investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the case.
