VIDEO: A 'Black Snowstorm' Will Hit Moscow - What Weather is Forecasted?
Traffic on the roads of Moscow has become difficult due to snow accumulations, with patches of black ice appearing. Services have switched to an enhanced operational mode, reports the Telegram channel of the city’s transport administration.
On Saturday, leading specialist Evgeny Tishkovez from the Phobos weather center told RIA Novosti that a 'black snowstorm' would develop in Moscow on Sunday evening, with wind gusts reaching up to 17 meters per second and daily precipitation potentially reaching up to 26.5 millimeters.
The message noted, “Traffic on the city's roads is complicated; in some areas, trucks are sliding. Municipal services are working intensively.” The authority has urged residents to refrain from traveling by personal vehicles.
