Death Toll in Gaza Reaches 16,000

The death toll from Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip has reached 16,000, with the number of injured amounting to 35,000. This information was reported by the satellite channel Al Arabiya, citing the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai al-Kaila.

It is recalled that on the morning of October 7, Israel was subjected to an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army's press service reported that extremists fired more than 3,000 rockets. Additionally, dozens of militants infiltrated areas near the Israeli southern border. The military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement announced that it was conducting an operation named “Al Aqsa Deluge” against Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also announced the start of an operation named “Iron Swords” against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
