Reuters Reports on the Health Status of Pope Francis
Pope Francis I visited a hospital in Rome on Saturday for a check-up, which, according to the Vatican, ruled out pulmonary complications after the flu forced him to suspend his activities, reports Reuters.
In a statement, the Vatican noted that the 86-year-old pontiff had returned to his residence in the Vatican on Saturday afternoon following a CT scan at the Gemelli Isola hospital located in central Rome.
His next public appearance is scheduled for Sunday, when he is expected to address the faithful during his weekly Angelus message in St. Peter's Square.
The pope will participate in the COP28 climate conference in Dubai from December 1 to 3, where he is expected to hold bilateral meetings with global leaders present at the event nearly all day.
Earlier this month, Francis skipped reading a prepared speech for a meeting with European rabbis due to a cold, although a few hours later he appeared to be in good health during a meeting with children.
