Indian Prime Minister Tests Tejas Fighter Jet and Shares His Opinion
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally tested the Indian Tejas fighter jet. The flight took place in Bangalore, located in the southern state of Karnataka. Tejas is a single-seat fighter jet; however, Modi flew in a two-seat trainer variant.
"It was an incredible experience. It reinforced my confidence in our country's own capabilities and made me feel pride and optimism about our national potential again," Modi reported.
The political figure added that the Tejas combat aircraft can operate under any weather conditions. It is worth mentioning that work on the fighter's creation began in the 1980s. In 2015, it was decided to supply the jet to the Indian army. Currently, efforts are underway in developing a new modification of the Tejas MK2 fighter jet.
