«To Cover the Entire Frontline of Armenia and Artsakh Would Require as Much as Was Given to the American Drug-addicted Singer», Nairi Hokhikyan
Journalist Nairi Hokhikyan made a statement on Telegram: “The creation of the Armenian Patrol Police has already cost 29 billion drams, of which 9 billion was provided by the USA and the EU, while the remaining 20 billion drams was taken from the RA budget. At today's exchange rate, this amounts to exactly 50 million USD. We still do not understand what results were achieved with such an amount, especially since we see every day what kind of educational and professional qualifications most of the patrol service employees have. I am not even mentioning the widespread circulation of drugs.
Now let’s consider how we could spend that 50 million dollars on strengthening Armenia’s frontline. We have an X km front line with Azerbaijan, where there are several hundred X conditional trenches and positions, where Armenian soldiers are standing every day, armed. Thanks to the effective service of our forces, the enemy has not yet succeeded in capturing large territories from Armenia, although the soldier standing on the frontline mostly needs basic security supplies. I won’t go into detail about what is available and what is not on our frontline.
Imagine if we actually had a government thinking about the homeland and the state, the 50 million dollars spent on the patrol service would be allocated solely for the outfitting of the front lines, which would mean that every outpost and trench would have about 40-60 thousand dollars worth of outfitting items such as camouflage nets, thermal scopes, night vision devices, and numerous other security factors.
To cover the entire frontline of Armenia and Artsakh, we would only need about 5-6 million dollars. Just as much as the RA government gave as a non-returnable and substantial gift to an American drug-addicted singer. Snoop Dogg received 6 million dollars from Armenian taxpayers and did not perform. But wasn’t the Armenian soldier worthy of the government spending that money to ensure the soldier's safety, so our soldiers in Artsakh would also be protected from enemy UAV strikes? We needed only 6 million dollars to cover and shield the entire frontline of Armenia and Artsakh. This was not done at the state level; my friends and I managed to cloak several dozen kilometers in Artsakh, but that was not enough. We lost all of Artsakh.
Now, can the RA government allocate at least 5 million dollars for the outfitting, camouflage, and improvement of security conditions of the Armenian frontline instead of 50 million, or is it more appropriate to extensively advertise unknown weapons purchased from abroad and abundantly arm the so-called red berets of the staff species?”
“Armenia needs to be defended from the outside, not from the inside.”
