Rockfall Occurred on the Bend Leading to Jermuk Tonight: Road Closed

On November 23, at 19:34, the crisis management center of the Vayots Dzor regional rescue department received a report about a rockfall near the 3rd bend on the road leading to Jermuk from the Yerevan-Meghri highway. The roadway has become one-way.

An operational group from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the scene. It has been determined that the rockfall occurred at the 2nd kilometer of the road leading from the Yerevan-Meghri (M-2) highway to Jermuk. The road is currently blocked in one direction.

Rescue teams have cleared the fallen debris, and the roadway is now open for two-way traffic.
