If You Don't Have Money, Walk: MP Kolesnikov Calls for Public Transport Fare Increase

Deputy Alexander Kolesnikov from Yekaterinburg has advised those without money for public transportation to "walk." This was announced by the city council member during a recent discussion.

Kolesnikov criticized the city administration for refusing to raise the prices of public transport fares for passengers. According to the deputy, "the transport sector cannot survive otherwise," insisting that "a ticket must cost money."

"You ask why there are no drivers? You should not be thinking about why; rather, normal salaries need to be raised. And where do salaries come from? They come from the ticket price. I understand that what I’m saying isn’t popular, but under capitalism, the economy does not operate any other way," he stated.
