No Signs of Emigration: Nikol Pashinyan

The Armenian government is doing everything possible to ensure that those forcibly displaced from Artsakh remain in Armenia. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.

“It is important to note with satisfaction that there is no flow of forcibly displaced persons, meaning there are no signs of emigration. In the first days, there was a rather concerning number of those leaving, and we assumed that in many cases people were simply going to visit relatives and would then return,” Pashinyan noted.

According to Pashinyan, the situation has stabilized in this respect. The Prime Minister regarded this as an important indicator for assessing the results of the policies being implemented by the government.

“Let my words not be interpreted in a way that suggests we have completely solved the issues of these people. From a certain point onwards, the policies being implemented towards the forcibly displaced from Artsakh and Armenians must become identical,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
