Azerbaijan Concerned About New Movement in Armenia: 'Pasta'

The newspaper 'Pasta' reports that former Armenian Minister of Defense Arshak Karapetyan is finalizing and will soon present to the public the program of the 'Pan-Armenian Front' movement. The fact that Arshak Karapetyan's entry into the political arena would cause concern for the current Armenian authorities is neither surprising nor unexpected.

However, it is much more interesting that numerous Azerbaijani media outlets have reported on Karapetyan and his founded movement multiple times over the past month. Notably, those media outlets particularly linked to Ilham Aliyev and the Aliyev clan's interests (specifically, 'Haqin.az') have shown additional activity, despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of media in Azerbaijan operate under 'presidential' control.

It is particularly noteworthy that the evaluations from Azerbaijani media, including those from the website owned by Eynula Fatullayev, closely resemble the assessments given by representatives of Armenia's western faction, namely the pro-government circles, which are conducting a total assault on all those in the 'opposition camp.' Moreover, it is interesting to point out that whenever there has been a tangible threat to Nikol Pashinyan's government from any individual or force, the Azerbaijani press has immediately launched an extensive information campaign against that individual.
