42-Year-Old Woman Stole $5,000 from 84-Year-Old Neighbor's Book

On the morning of November 22, a citizen called the operational management center of the police, reporting that a theft had occurred in one of the apartments in the Aragats district of Ejmiatsin city.

An operational group from the Vagharshapat police department went to the reported address. It was found that between 10:00 AM on November 21 and 8:30 AM on November 22, an intruder entered the specified apartment and stole $5,000 from inside a book in the living room closet.

The 84-year-old homeowner filed a report. Thanks to operational and investigative measures taken by the police officers of the Vagharshapat department, it was revealed that the theft was committed by a 42-year-old woman from Ejmiatsin. She was found near one of the buildings in the Aragats district, arrested, and taken to the department.

A personal search revealed a portion of the stolen money—$200. Through explanatory work, she confessed to the act and stated that the remaining $4,800 was at her home.

The 42-year-old woman and the compiled documents were submitted to the Vagharshapat investigative department.
