Finland is closing all border checkpoints with the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Russian service of the BBC. Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo announced this decision.
It is noted that Finland has decided to close all border crossings with Russia by February 23, with the exception of the ‘Raja-Jooseppi’ checkpoint, which is considered the northernmost.
Earlier, media reports indicated that an announcement regarding this decision by the Finnish government would be made on Wednesday evening. The border crossings will already be closed on the night of November 24-25.
