CSTO Can Sign Documents Without Armenia's Participation if Country Does Not Object, Source Says

The CSTO regulations allow for documents to be signed in the absence of one party, provided that the absent party does not object. This was reported by Sputnik Belarus, citing its source. Thus, the media source commented on Armenia's absence at the joint meeting of foreign ministers, secretaries of the Security Councils, and defense ministers.

It was noted that around 20 documents were agreed upon at the meeting, including those related to the organization's peacekeeping forces. Recall that tomorrow a CSTO summit will take place in Minsk. Earlier, the press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Aram Torosyan, had announced that Armenia’s Defense Minister Suren Papikyan would not participate in the CSTO meetings scheduled to take place in Minsk.
