Turkey Hopes for Quick Completion of F-16 Purchase Request from the U.S. without Any Conditions

Turkey expects that the request to purchase F-16s from the United States will be concluded quickly without any conditions or restrictions. This statement was made by Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

“We have repeatedly stated that the U.S. should take concrete steps to correct its wrong attitude towards issues that are directly related to our national security. In this regard, we hope at all levels that we can quickly conclude the discussions on our request for the purchase and modernization of F-16s without any conditions and restrictions,” Fidan said.

At the same time, the Turkish Foreign Minister noted that Ankara continues to cooperate with the U.S. on numerous regional and global issues of mutual interest.
