Napoleon's Hat Sold for Record Price
Napoleon's hat has been sold at auction for a record price of €1.9 million ($2.11 million), according to the Osenat auction house.
As reported by Le Figaro, the tricorn hat was made by the emperor's hatmaker, Pierre-Quentin-Joseph Bayonne. Experts suggest that Napoleon added his cockade to it while at the Mediterranean Sea, returning from Elba in March 1815.
