Palestinian People Deserve Their Own State, Biden

The Palestinian people deserve their own state, and Gaza and the West Bank should be governed by a renewed Palestinian administration. This statement was made by U.S. President Joe Biden, as reported by RIA Novosti.

"The Palestinian people deserve their own state and a future free of HAMAS," Biden stated in an article written for the Washington Post. He emphasized that he has watched images depicting the deaths of "thousands of innocent civilians, including children" from the Gaza Strip with a "broken heart."

"Our goal should not be to stop the war now, but to end it forever by breaking the cycle of violence and building something stronger in Gaza and throughout the Middle East, so that history does not repeat itself," Biden wrote.

He stressed that the path to achieving this lies in the approach of "two states for two peoples."

"Achieving this will require the commitment of Israel and Palestine, as well as the United States and allies. This work must start now," Biden noted.
