Antisemitism and National or Religious Intolerance Have No Place in Armenia: Armenian Foreign Ministry Responds to Synagogue Arson Incident

Antisemitism and intolerance based on national or religious grounds have no place in Armenia. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Ani Badalyan, in response to a recent act of vandalism against a synagogue in Yerevan.

"Armenia considers any encroachment on religious structures unacceptable, particularly in relation to the vandalism against the synagogue in Yerevan, as well as any disrespectful actions. Such instances of intolerance or provocation are intolerable, and the relevant authorities of Armenia have already initiated criminal proceedings. We categorically reject any exploitation of this incident or theme for political, propaganda, or other purposes. Antisemitism and national or religious intolerance have no place in Armenia," the Foreign Ministry spokesperson's statement concluded.
