VIDEO: 'We helped two, they had burns, we couldn't get the third out' - Details on the explosion at YSU

An explosion occurred, followed by a fire. In an interview with Sputnik Armenia, the first and second building chief of Yerevan State University (YSU), Ernest Tovmasov, shared details as one of the first responders to the victims.

“We got close, it was burning, there was smoke, and nothing was visible. We helped two, they had burns, we couldn't get the third out; he remained inside, and we were already suffocating,” the man said.

According to him, the man left inside was later brought out by rescuers, but they were unable to save his life. Tovmasov noted that the men were aged between 50 and 60, all employees of the landscaping service.
